Quiero decir, \u00bfqu\u00e9 podr\u00eda restringir una escritura? \u00bfY estamos hablando de una \u201cescritura\u201d en el sentido de un acto intencional y consciente (generalmente uno que es bueno, o, en este caso, tal vez no?), o simplemente un documento legalmente vinculante?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInclusivo\u201d y \u201casequible\u201d son t\u00e9rminos mucho m\u00e1s amigables y atractivos, pero no sorprende que para la mayor\u00eda de las personas evoquen prejuicios, miedo y conceptos err\u00f3neos. Hay personas que apoyan la vivienda asequible, pero no necesariamente en su ciudad\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>En Park City, donde los trabajadores superan en n\u00famero a los residentes, Mountainlands ha construido comunidades de viviendas asequibles desde los a\u00f1os 80. \u201cHOPA [Holiday Village and Parkside Apartments], uno de nuestros proyectos, fue aprobado en junio por la Comisi\u00f3n de Planificaci\u00f3n\u201d, presume Angelica.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfNo son HOPA esas residencias que est\u00e1n justo al lado de la escuela secundaria Park City? \u00bfTienen una ubicaci\u00f3n central y son de f\u00e1cil acceso en transporte p\u00fablico?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHay 122 unidades en preparaci\u00f3n para una remodelaci\u00f3n completa\u201d, agrega Ang\u00e9lica, ri\u00e9ndose nuevamente de mi ingenuidad en materia de vivienda asequible. \u201cTenemos fondos para reconstruir 115 unidades existentes y agregar a\u00fan m\u00e1s unidades a todo el sitio\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Ang\u00e9lica y sus colegas trabajan de 9 a 18 horas los martes y jueves, siempre listos para hablar con los clientes que llegan sin cita previa. Cuando regres\u00e9 al HRC dos d\u00edas despu\u00e9s, un jueves, abr\u00ed la puerta y vi lo que parec\u00eda una mini reuni\u00f3n de directorio. \u201cSomos un equipo de solo tres personas\u201d, dice Ang\u00e9lica, \u201cas\u00ed que, adem\u00e1s de nuestras tareas laborales, nos encargamos de las comunicaciones y el marketing en las redes sociales\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Entre este peque\u00f1o pero poderoso personal se encuentra Megan McKenna, quien se desempe\u00f1a como Defensora de la Vivienda del HRC. \u201cMountainlands nunca tuvo puestos dedicados a la b\u00fasqueda y defensa de la vivienda. Sin embargo, recientemente se ha producido una tendencia a que los propietarios actuales dejen de ofrecer alojamiento por noche o por semana y, en su lugar, lo alquilen a trabajadores locales para crear una comunidad m\u00e1s fuerte y diversa.<\/p>\n<p>Angelica y Megan est\u00e1n decididas a continuar con su labor de defensa y educaci\u00f3n para ayudar a que nuestra comunidad tenga viviendas. \u201cStudio Crossings es otro proyecto en marcha, donde creo que 200 de sus 300 unidades se destinar\u00e1n a viviendas asequibles\u201d, dice Angelica, \u201cincluidas familias no solo con ingresos inferiores a la media, sino tambi\u00e9n personas mayores. \u00bfSab\u00edas que no hay viviendas para personas mayores en Park City?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfNo son las personas mayores una parte vital de nuestra comunidad, de cualquier comunidad?<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAparte de las viviendas para personas mayores, ni siquiera tenemos viviendas de emergencia ni refugios para personas sin hogar\u201d, dice Ang\u00e9lica. \u201cEn Utah, se aprob\u00f3 recientemente un c\u00f3digo que exige que los condados tengan un centro de calentamiento si las temperaturas caen por debajo de los 10 grados\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>No obstante, Ang\u00e9lica y Megan tienen esperanzas.
